I picked the Loon as the Logo for Felt Dyslexic for two reasons.
Loons have red eyes in the summer and red is the color for dyslexia.
Red is the color for dyslexia because we have a lot of red marks on our paperwork at school.
My great grandfather had a pumkin-seed sailboat named Loon. My family still races it almost every weekend in the summer.
The word Felt comes from that same great grandfather, he was the treasurer of American Felt in the 1920's and 30's.
My family still has the cabin he built in Plymouth we call it "camp". I never met him, but he is legendary to us.
I'm honoring my family with the loon and the word Felt.
Plus, being dyslexic is something I feel every day.
I felt Dyslexic yesterday, and I will always feel it.
The good news is I'm starting to see some of the positive things about being dyslexic.
I want to share the positive things here with you, with Blog posts, Artist Interviews and building an Entrepreneur Collective where we can share our stories.
Time is on our side,
Much Love,
